Registration information

Plante's Ferry Sports Complex will be undergoing construction on many fields through 2025. Due to this, some games may be played at other facilities including Trent Elementary and Trentwood Elementary.

TEAM PLACEMENTS

Once your child is placed with a team over the summer, your coach will reach out regarding the practice schedule. It is likely you will hear from your coach after registration has closed and teams are finalized during the week of August 25. Teams are formed according to the following criteria:
  • Coach request - this is the first request we will honor as long as there is space available with returning players
  • Friend/teammate requests - if age allows, we will place those who request to play together on the same team
  • School/neighborhood - We will use the requested practice region and school attending to assign the player to a nearby team if possible.

Please note that we do not guarantee requests - we will do our best to accommodate, but placement requests may not be possible due to team availability.

PRACTICES AND GAMES

Practice schedules are determined by your coach and can begin as early as August 25. 7 games will be scheduled per team between September 6 and October 25 on Saturdays. The registration fee covers both fall and spring - rosters will remain the same from fall to spring.

AGE GROUPS

Spokane Rapids accommodates U5-U14 age groups, in the Fall 2025/Spring 2026 season this means players born 2021-2012.

Teams are formed based off of the birth year of players. One year playups are allowed. For safety and insurance purposes, we do not allow play downs, or play ups over a year, whatsoever.

We combine our oldest age group, U12/U11 (2013/2012 birth years) to ensure there are enough players to create a division. We allow "trapped" players—those born in August 2011 or later and currently in 8th grade—to participate in our oldest U11/U12 group.

COACHING

Spokane Rapids is run by volunteer coaches, often times parent volunteers! Below are some benefits of coaching for Spokane Rapids:

  • Coaches receive $50 off of player registration - after registering as a coach, you can reach out to the office for a discount code! Note that we cannot do retroactive discounts, so make sure to reach out prior to enrolling your child.
  • Coaches get to choose their practice location, days, and times - only one practice is required per week, however you can choose to do more days if you so desire.
  • Plante's Ferry offers practice fields to Spokane Rapids on Fridays and will assist you in finding other practice locations as well
  • Spokane Rapids provides a bag with some practice equipment, so you won't have to purchase anything additional.
  • We provide practice curriculum on our website for new coaches to use as a resource, under the coaches tab.
